Mrs William Thaw testifies in the Harry K Thaw murder trial. She describes a change in her son after a 1903 Europe trip and recalls conversations with him in 1904 about Waite. The court allows the witness to proceed after earlier objections.

E F Walker returns to Lake Arthur to load goods and move his family to San Antonio Texas this week. Dr Walker and George A Davisson also plan relocation this week. The Walker and Davisson Company will open a land office in the old town and may stay if business is good. If unsatisfactory they will return to Roswell. They depart Thursday or Friday.
In Providence on March 6 the grand encampment of the Odd Fellows of Rhode Island opened with several hundred members present. Delegates will hear addresses from distinguished officials of the order from other states. In Winnipeg on March 6 the Loyal Orange grand lodge of Manitoba began its session here.
An unverified report claimed E. H. Harriman bought a large block of Reading and New Jersey Central stock from Frick interests, sparking a Reading stock spike before confirmation. Harriman’s secretary said he is not interested in Wall Street and declined to deny all rumors.

Indianapolis report says Fred Schwemeyer shot and killed his wife Mrs. Fred Schwemeyer and lifelong friend William Gill at Ben Davis after returning home from Indianapolis. Schwemeyer claims his home had been ruined. Gill and the wife were shot as Schwemeyer watched through a window.

House Bill No 129 proposes sidewalk regulation for cities and towns. Introduced by S Mirabal on February 25 1907 it was read by title and referred to the Committee on Corporations.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of New Mexico. An incorporated city or town may not require a new or different sidewalk to be built within three years of its construction if the sidewalk followed existing ordinances. Any ordinance attempting to replace a sidewalk within three years is void. The act repeals conflicting laws and takes effect upon passage.
