Bobby Ramirez wins Municipal Court judge race with 3 293 votes, carrying all 34 precincts. Debra Anaya Dick McEneny and incumbent Ernest Harp capture City Council seats. Hildebrandt Farrell Watson and Adalee Goodpasture also win council posts. City charter defeated 3701 to 3056 amid a 7 000 voter turnout.
In Massachusetts Bush leads narrowly as Anderson shocks by finishing close second in both states. Kennedy wins Massachusetts Democratic vote while Carter dominates Vermont. Vermont’s result is a nonbinding beauty contest with delegates to be allocated later.
Citywide results show multiple races across five Council wards plus municipal judge and City Charter. Leading tickets include United Roswell and Progressive Roswell with officials and independents vying in Wards 1 through 5 along with vote tallies and a Yes No charter vote outcome.
Debra A Anaya 22 wins Ward 5 council seat defeating Sterlin R Grant 3537 to 3076 as final tallies bring tears to her mother and pride to her father Ruben in a memorable election night.
Atlantic City report says Ron Ely will host the Miss America Pageant, replacing Bert Parks whose crooning voice is retired. Ely replaces Parks as pageant emcee amid the national broadcast move.
