Tax chief plans order after new law on property limits

The state Property Tax Department chief said he will issue regulations after Oct 1 to implement a 10 percent annual cap on increases for revalued property under SB96. He notes changes can't be made before Oct 1 and assesses current year values remain unchanged, with court tests expected.

Woman stores ex husband body in closet in Albuquerque

A Albuquerque woman Frizelle LaGretta Aguilar 44 admitted she kept the body of her ex husband Herbert Gunter Fischer 41 in a closet for about three years after he apparently died by his own hand in June 1974. Police ordered an autopsy and noted improper disposal is a misdemeanor.
