Roswell hosts an aerial show as low clouds drift over city lights creating a glowing display. Weather forecasts warn of possible heavy thundershowers through Tuesday affecting forests deserts cities and ranch country.
A sunken mall blast damaged Harvey Ingham Hall of Science at Drake University with 15 to 20 pounds of high power dynamite. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated up to 250000 dollars.

Hailey residents name three of six Old West queen finalists as Laurie and Leslie Dale 16 and Lynda Dale 13 compete. The Dales say sister Lisa 14 will be eligible next year when turns come.
