No minor party or write-in challengers in Chaves County sheriff race
Britt Snyder may now be called Chaves County sheriff elect after no candidates filed on Thursday to challenge him in November. County Clerk Dave Kunko said write-in and third party candidates had one day to file, but “Nobody came in.” Snyder defeated Patrick Barncastle by 12 votes in the Republican primary. Barncastle had conceded earlier.
