G W Clayton of Artesia said applications for drought relief loans will be accepted starting Monday at the Fifth and Richardson relief office for feed purchases and forage crop planting under a 100 million dollar appropriation. County relief officials Maude Kemp Floyd Childress and George Perrine join the local committee as regional manager Charles Sherrill outlined that disbursements would begin soon after a Washington conference with Production Credit Commissioner M Garwood.

News from Albuquerque reports J M Reid died at 11 30 am aged 90 in his son s home. He lived in New Mexico since 1900 and served as Chaves county superintendent. He was an elder in Roswell s Presbyterian church and father of Capt W Reid and R C Reid. Funeral to be in Albuquerque then Etna Green Indiana.
