Roswell man arrested after neighbor shooting incident
A Roswell man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly shooting his neighbor in the chest with a stolen firearm following an argument on South Ash Street. The 32 year old victim was hospitalized in serious condition and later flown for treatment. the suspect was found hiding in a closet as officers executed a search of his home.

Body of teen recovered from Pecos River near Ft. Sumner
State police report the body of 19-year-old Colton Alexander Sawyer of Tularosa was recovered from the Pecos River after he and two friends jumped into the river near a dam west of Ft. Sumner. Divers, volunteers, and a police helicopter aided the search. Sawyer’s body was found downstream and turned over to the Medical Investigator.
