Regulators set fresh hearing on PNM rate request
New Mexico regulators will hear more testimony next week on PNM’s bid to raise rates. The Public Regulation Commission scheduled a Monday start after scrutiny of costs tied to PNM’s Palo Verde nuclear rights purchase. The utility seeks to cover $655 million in capital investments since 2011 and through 2016, while preserving electricity supply after the 2017 San Juan units retire. Spokeswoman Ryan Baca said past filings addressed the nuclear purchase and its market value.
