Roswell Scouts Face Recruitment Slump in Conquistador Council
Roswell's Conquistador Council of the Boy Scouts of America, active for a century, reports declining school recruitment. Local leaders like Jim Bethel cite lost school access but stress programs persist, with outreach through parades, storefront efforts, and collaborations with Girl Scouts. Notable members include Eagle Scout Nikolas Rivera and Roswell residents Ben DeLeon and Anthony Acevedo, all praising Scouting's long term impact. Contact 622-3461 or visit 2603 N Aspen Ave to join.
