House 10 conducts late night sessions to map final stages of a legislative cycle. Lawmakers review bills, debate procedures, and plan for adjournment as deadlines approach. The sessions focus on drafting remaining measures and aligning party positions before the end of the session.
Washington June 25 The Senate passed a bill regulating jury service in New Mexico after Senator Spooner withdrew the English speaking requirement. He said ten to twenty five counties would lack jurors and need interpreters. The session also approved La Follette’s joint resolution broadening ICC inquiry to grain transport and storage. Canal engineers appointed for Panama project. Congress held immigration debate under five minute rule.
Authorities or provisional military government of the islands propose an amendment to address cases under the Warner-Barnes Supreme Court decision. It would compel refunding duties totaling more than $4,000,000.
Congressman Longworth and his wife were hosted by Emperor William at Kiel on June 25 aboard the Hamburg. They later toured the Meteor yacht, an object of their Kiel visit, as Mrs. Longworth noted she had christened the vessel.

Bond, born in Liberty Hill Texas, had relatives in Austin and led a mobile life, often working as a gar picker. He was seen on the veranda and fell to the ground. The body awaits word from relatives as Kipling’s saloon business is noted and later sold to Seay and Manning. The notice also advertises a carload of oranges from Joyce Pruit Co.
Joyce-Pruit Company's Grocery Department manager Old Shep announces a fresh arrival of Navel and Valencia oranges, claiming they are the best on earth. Charley Shepherd backs the claim, noting ample supply in a full car shipment for all customers.

George Caphart arrived from Amarillo for a visit with H. G. Stanfield of North Pennsylvan ia avenue last night.
W. F. Brown of Dexter spent Sunday and Monday in the city attending to business matters.
Cy Davidson, once a Roswell boy, arrived from Hagerman Sunday morning for a brief reunion with longtime friends.
Dr. A. L. Norfleet, cashier of the Bank of Artesia, spent the day with friends yesterday. Wanted farm hand by Wm. M. Ferguson of Alellen New Mexico appears in the notice along with Red Top Rye and the Oriental Saloon. tf

A series of minor fights Saturday night culminated in a serious injury on South Pecos avenue. W. M. Conley, a a newcomer from Long Run West Virginia, was slashed across the cheek by an unidentified assailant who remains at large. Conley rests easily at St. Marys hospital.
Forest fires are burning in timber tracts near Magdalena Sonora. The town is threatened and several mining camps are reported burned as American miners flee the area from El Paso Texas.

Forest Townsley left this afternoon for El Paso to reunite with his wife who departed the week before. The couple plans to move to Bisbee, Arizona, to establish their home. Ingersoll will purchase three railroad tickets for Townsley.
