Portales murders upheld as Bedford convictions stand
The New Mexico Supreme Court unanimously affirmed Stanley Bedford’s first degree murder and kidnapping convictions for killing Ochis and Doris Newman and burning them in their car trunk in 2005. Bedford’s 120 year sentence stands. the Newman nephew Jerry Fuller pled guilty and serves 127 years.
