Republicans Read Knox and Stimson Out of The Party

Philadelphia reports in Republican circles claim President Roosevelt told Colonel Knox he would not seek a third term when offering the navy secretary post. France Reorganized Army Halts German Advance Near Lyon

At the French Swiss frontier on June 21, France’s reorganized Jura and Alps forces, boosted by units retreating from the Maginot line, reportedly held German motorized units south and east of Lyon and pushed back Nazi columns northwest of Grenoble with heavy losses. Plane rerouted due to bad weather over New Mexico
