Two Die After Hobbs Police Shootout Involved
A Hobbs man Kenneth Lanphier 48 exchanged gunfire with Hobbs police during a welfare call on Clearfork Street. Lanphier was shot and died at a Lubbock hospital and a woman bystander died from gunfire. State Police say Lanphier fired first and officers returned fire.
