NYC Sailor Returns After 1152 Days at Sea
Reid Stowe, 58, docked his 70-foot schooner Anne near West 42nd Street after more than three years at sea. He sailed non-stop 1,152 days missing his infant son Darshen, and reunited with partner Soanya Ahmad and their sleeping 23 month old. The voyage, begun April 21 2007 from Hoboken, set to be a new record per Guinness and Sail magazine editor Charles Doane, despite a mid voyage collision with a freighter last year.
