Citizens Group raises 50000 for Roswell Motor Supply building
A civic action committee formed Saturday to save the Roswell Motor Supply building has raised 50000 for a down payment on the lot and structure. Leaders Trey Nesselrodt and Miranda Howe say negotiations with the owners continue and a nonprofit ownership plan is being formed with city support possible.

Roswell Man Arrested in June 4 Kidnapping Case
Roswell Police detectives arrested 37 year old Carmen Pichilla also known as Manuel Herrera for kidnapping criminal sexual penetration contributing to the delinquency of a minor and young person mistreatment in connection with a June 4 incident. A 15 year old girl was coaxed into a van near Southeast Main Street and Buena Vista, later escaped. He is jailed at Chaves County Detention Center on a 100000 bond.

Flag retirement ceremony by Roswell American Legion Post 28
The Roswell American Legion Post 28 held a flag retirement ceremony at Memorial Hall on Saturday.
