Elks for Vets charity golf tourney honors veterans
Fourth annual Elks for Vets charity golf tournament was held at the New Mexico Military Institute course. Ceremonies included remarks by Brady Crump and Ret. Gen. Jerry Childress, a moment of silence, and the 2012 Elks Veteran Golfer of the Year award. Teams led by Bob and Sandy Magnon won first place. proceeds boosted the Southeast New Mexico Veterans of America Transportation Network with a $24,000 check, funding 40-45 percent of yearly van costs.
