Bolivar Missouri June 17 AP Sheriff Jack Killingsworth Polk County sheriff was kidnapped by Pretty Boy Floyd and driven for two days before returning to his Bolivar home unharmed. E W Bitzer, a friend, said Killingsworth telephoned to meet him at Clinton and was driven back, with Floyd and the other outlaw. They abandoned the first car near Deepwater and released the other man with Killingsworth. The sheriff complained of rest after the ordeal.

Stolen Roswell Cars Recovered By U S Authorities
Sheriff Peck reports that Leo and Elmer Rodoni were found with a stolen 1933 Chevrolet coach from Roswell, identified by motor numbers. The same suspects abandoned a second Chevrolet Cabriolet near Roswell. The recovered car had been polished and shown in Holmes Chevrolet showroom before theft. Authorities will hand the case to federal agents under the Dyer Act.
