Mastodon jawbone found on Zuni Pueblo site
A high school student found a complete mastodon jawbone on Zuni Pueblo land. Archaeologist Jonathan Camp uncovered a small cutting tool suggesting human involvement 10 000 years ago. The jawbone goes to the Zuni Museum while the rest awaits council decision on excavation.
