Felty Found Not Guilty in New Mexico Murder Trial

Wilbur F. Felty, 39, grocery store manager, acquitted by a district court jury of murder in the Aug. 24, 1952 shooting of Dr. Mover Lee. Verdict delivered to Dist. Judge Luis E. Armijo at 4:40 p.m. after a 45 minute jury deliberation. foreman Jack Deason Jr. led the panel. Jury instructions had been set for 1:30 p.m. but delayed. The case featured prosecutors Joe Walton and O. O. Askren and defense attorney Caswell Fincher Neal.
