A hearing set for October 16 in Santa Fe will decide on permanently revoking Fortuna Properties Inc liquor licenses for Ruidoso Downs and Sunland Park. The hearing could be canceled if Fortuna sells the tracks before that date.

Fort Sumner plans Old Fort Days from June 21 to 24 hosted by the De Baca County Chamber of Commerce. Parents sue for 1 million in Alamogordo death
The parents of 1 year old Robert P. Kohlrust sue in District Court for 1 million dollars. Donald R. Kohlrust on behalf of his son charges TV Cable of Space City Inc RCA Community Television System Edward A Schenk Co and the city of Alamogordo were negligent leading to the boy’s death from a motorcycle accident nearly four months earlier. In Portales the Eastern New Mexico University board of regents will meet in Albuquerque to review bids for the College of Business Building and projects at Clovis and Roswell campuses.
