Baer-Carera Fight Returns At The Record Tonight

Albuquerque New Mexico June 14 AP A freakish week with frost then heat failed to ease drought. Weather chief E L Hardy reports the drought is more serious than June 5. Cold followed by the warmest days of the year hit stock ranges and dry land crops hard. No meaningful rain fell and moisture is needed across the state. Ranges in the northwestern corner show near normal precipitation but overstocking persists. In the southern and eastern parts ranges outside national forests are in poor condition with continued stock losses. National forest ranges are fair to good but require rain within ten days to two weeks to avert serious declines. Continued on page five.
