Pearl Wilson And Babe Higgins Arrested With Large Booze Haul
Pearl Wilson and Babe Higgins were arrested at the Y O crossing fifty miles southwest of the city this morning by prohibition officers C A Rector J B Zumwalt Harrison Rector and Carl Gordon. Five cases each of whiskey and tequila plus 10 gallons of grain alcohol were found in a Hudson car valued at about 2000. The car and liquor are held by the sheriff. Wilson and Higgins are jailed. The seizure is one of the largest booze hauls in the area since prohibition began. The pair, longtime locals, were en route from El Paso to Texas oil fields to sell the liquor.

Mob Stormed Jackson Jail Over Murder Confession
A mob of about three thousand attacked the Jackson county jail to seize ex convict George Straub who confessed to the murder of Miss Alice Mallett.
