NMHealth confirms first measles cases in NM since 2021
The New Mexico Department of Health reported two Taos County children under 10 as the state's first measles cases since 2021. Exposure at Aspen Medical Center Urgent Care Espanola on May 26 and 28. Vaccination advised. exposure notes and helpline for guidance issued.

Fire destroys iconic Clo vis castle house on Mitchell
Firefighters raced to the 1220 Mitchell building around 1 30 p m and the castle style structure was reduced to rubble. Police say arson is likely as the empty building had no utilities and past fires have occurred there. No injuries were reported. A second blaze at 109 Park Drive also caused major damage to an adjacent home. The castle house served various businesses over 50 years and was remodeled to its distinctive turreted exterior about 1975. Public records show residents at the address since 1939.
