A seven month old Texas pullet laid a five and three quarter ounce egg at Holley Poultry Farm in Dexter. Farm manager S M Dodson displayed the giant egg at the Roswell Daily Record office. The egg measured nine inches around the ends seven and a quarter around the middle and two and five eighths inches in diameter. It was nearly the size of two large eggs.
