A June tornado near De Quin cy Louisiana destroyed a two room pine shack killing Mrs David Mahaffey age 25 and her two year old son Dalton and Alonzo Smith a 20 year old. Nine others injured as the house collapsed and parts were scattered. Bodies were found about 200 yards from the site after the storm moved on. Neighbors a half mile away did not realize the tragedy until aid arrived.
