Dr C M Yater purchased the forty acre tract from J W Hockaday three miles east on Second Street known as the McClenny place for $15,000 in cash. The property includes a residence an artesian well and sufficient water rights for irrigation with eleven acres in orchard and the remainder in alfalfa. It is described as one of the oldest best places in the Pecos valley. Yater does not plan to move there.
