Jones wins GOP primary for NM 1st District

Steve Jones clinches the Republican nomination in New Mexico's 1st Congressional District with 51 percent of the vote 16,870 to 15,964 for Louie Sanchez. The 77 year old former accountant from Ruidoso advances to face Democrat Melanie Stansbury in November as the district stretches from Sandoval County to Roswell. Boone elected in NM Senate GOP primary
