Grant Named State Umpire and Roswell Sports Official
Larry Grant, a Dexter graduate who played multiple sports, served in the Navy 1968–1971, and worked 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service, is selected to work state softball seven times and state baseball once. He rebounded to umpiring in 1979 and now coordinates Roswell area football, basketball, and baseball officials, citing shortages and emphasizing player opportunities.
