Blue Ridge Parkway 75th anniversary festivities marked
Floyd Virginia hosts events as the Blue Ridge Parkway marks 75 years since groundbreaking on Sept 11 1935. The celebration includes an anniversary festival Sept 10-12 and a Sept 11 concert by Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys at the Blue Ridge Parkway Music Center. The Parkway draws about 17 million visitors yearly and faces budget and development challenges.
