Snyder Maintains 12 Vote Lead In Sheriff Race
In Chaves County, Britt Snyder holds a 12 vote lead over Patrick Barncastle after 55 precincts in the GOP sheriff primary. 21 provisional ballots qualified by Wednesday with 16 from the Republican side. two absentee in lieu votes and one military tally await canvassing Friday at the County Administrative Center.

Thousands of vets in state left without doctor

Townsend Wins State Rep GOP Primary in District 54
Republican James Townsend defeated Pam Richardson for the District 54 House seat nomination. Townsend led district wide with 900 votes (70.4 percent) to Richardson’s 378 (29.6 percent).
