Esperanza House expands fight against child abuse in New Mexico
Esperanza House Inc started in 1992 to spare abused children repeated interviews. Executive director Michael R. Turner says the goal broadened from sexual abuse to all child abuse and later to school based safety programs. The two house facility hosts child friendly interviews with all parties present on site or via video. The SANE program began in June 2000 as one of four such programs in the state.
