Robbery at The Perfect Pokery Bakery

The Perfect Pokery at 402 North Main was broken into last night. About 73 loaves of bread and pies were stolen. Entry was gained by tearing a rear window screen and forcing it up. A separate attempt to pry open the rear door failed. The door lock was damaged. Police say two boys chased from the bakery area. No clues left for detectives.

Oil output of New Mexico oil fields

Figures compiled today by the state tax commission show production from January 1 to March 31 in New Mexico totaling 2,542,126 barrels. Lea county, home to the Hobbs field, led with 2,371,169 barrels worth 790,618 dollars, while Eddy and San Juan counties produced 99,527 and 71,430 barrels respectively, valued at 1,653 and 42,868 dollars.
