Bribery Conviction Hits Honda Executives in Large Case
In Concord, two former Honda executives Dennis Josleyn and John Billmyer were convicted of conspiracy with racketeering and fraud in a case accusing dealers in 30 states of paying roughly 15 million in cash watches and luxuries to secure favorable dealership placement. Prosecutors say the scheme helped keep hot selling Acuras and Hondas scarce in the 1980s.
