Firefighter rescue saves man swept by floodwaters near I 40
The Albuquerque Fire Department identified 46 year old Eugene Gonzalez as the man saved after being swept into a fast moving arroyo near Interstate 40 and Carlisle Boulevard. Firefighters pulled him from five feet of rushing water after he may have travelled about three miles downstream. He was hospitalized for scrapes and bruises.
