Dallas July 25 The incomplete Saturday count shows Oscar B Colquitt likely winner for governor by about 60000 plurality. The prohibition amendment to the constitution appears carried by roughly 20000. The electorate faces a unique choice with an anti prohibition governor candidate and a statewide prohibition vote.

Walter H. Long opened bids on his 314000 pound wool clip on Saturday and, by reserve of the right through advertisement, rejected all offers. The top bid was 1.54 dollars per pound. Long is the region’s largest individual wool grower and seeks better prospects in Chicago.

Eagle Hall on First street between Main and Richardson avenue was found afire at five o clock Sunday morning with flames at the rear started on the outside. Firemen responded promptly and extinguished the blaze with little damage to the hall.
