Roswell Officials Tour Eight City Projects Progress Visit
Roswell leaders including six city councilors Mayor Den nis Kintigh City Manager Joe Neeb and staff toured eight infrastructure sites by Pecos Transit bus with a police escort. Superintendent Dr Ann McIlroy and school board president Mona Kirk joined Roswell Independent School District officials to review progress and highlight city achievements. Spectra signed May contract and began July 1 with local hiring efforts noted on the city website.

Cumberland Park to Get Spruced Up in Chaves County
Chaves County beautification group Keep Chaves County Beautiful received a $20,000 Keep America Beautiful-Lowe's grant to repair and upgrade Cumberland Park in Midway. Volunteers plan painting a water fountain, planting grass and trees, and fixing the basketball court with possible additional changes.

Roswell Museum seeks new curator as Sara Woodbury leaves
Roswell based RMAC will bid farewell to Sara Woodbury end of week as she departs for the College of William and Mary to pursue a doctorate. More than 60 applications have been received for the curator position. Woodbury delivered her last lecture Wednesday in the Basset Auditorium, highlighting the Magical & Real show, after five years at RMAC. Her final day is Friday July 27.
