Water district raises taxes to fund drought water rights
The PVACD board approved a 2 to 4 mill property tax increase retroactive to 2014 to fund a $10 million loan used to buy water rights. The district aims to stock water rights for drought down times and redeploy them when not needed. The loan funds have been partially spent with more to come, and elections for PVACD directors are upcoming.
