Roswell resident Fawn Alcorn-Pierce helped raise funds at McMurry University's Jimmy Lee Pierce Memorial Golf Tournament. The tourney is in its eighth year, driven by Roswell connections and McMurry officials.

Build-A-Bear halts Pay Your Age deal amid crowds
Build-A-Bear Workshop halted its Pay Your Age promotion due to overwhelming crowds, closing lines in the United States and Canada and restricting access. UK stores also offered the deal, while vouchers were distributed for use through August 31 to manage traffic and waits. Analysts warned the decision could harm the brand.
