Crosby home on Lea Avenue linked to World Champion Cowboy past
The 1905 Simplified Anne Style house at 500 S Lea Ave Roswell is tied to Bob Crosby the five time world champion cowboy. Crosby bought the home in 1935 and lived there while his rodeo career thrived. Thelma Crosby and daughter Roberta joined him as he pursued events nationwide. Crosby died in 1947 after a jeep accident between Roswell and the Kenna ranch. The house later passed through several owners and remains under current ownership Martin and Beatrice Izquierdo.
