Godspell Comes to Playhouse in Hobbs With Oil Field Twist
The Hobbs Playhouse stages Godspell July 19 to 27 with 8 p.m. evening shows and a 2 p.m. matinee Sunday July 21. Director Daniel Russell places the gospel story in an oil field centering on a drilling rig as a symbolic stage, with caliche dirt on the floor.
