A threatened atomic bomb production strike was dropped after CIO atomic workers at Paducah Kentucky voted 329 to 96 to return to work and back a peace plan. Oak Ridge Tennessee workers followed suit with a Friday night vote to end their walkout, AFL workers at Oak Ridge had spoken but did not join the strike. The plan calls for government review of health housing and community problems of atomic workers.

Chairman of State Commission Injured in Collision

Leroy Leibrand chairman of the State Public Service Commission was injured in a head on crash 10 miles south of Socorro on U S Highway 85. He sustained fractures of the pelvis and left knee cap and bruises. He was taken to Lovelace Clinic in Albuquerque for further examination and treatment.
