Eisenhower Heads To Amarillo For Southwest Conference

President Eisenhower departed Washington at 6 14 a m MST aboard the Col umbine for a two day Amarillo visit with six governors. He will attend a conference on relief for the Southwest and carry backing from Congress for emergency aid and loans. Huge 30 inch Gas Line Project Tracks Near Roswell

El Paso Natural Gas plans a 1 000 mile pipeline from Permian basin to the Arizona California border with a 30 inch main line and 24 inch feeder. The one year build will raise gas deliveries 400 million cubic feet daily, with 300 million to California and 100 million to NM West Texas and Arizona.
