St. Louis July 9 The Democratic national convention nominated Judge Alton Brooks Parker of New York for President on a single decisive roll call. A short session followed to set a time for selecting a vice presidential candidate, with Parker receiving strong backing from New York and other states amid dramatic speeches and floor action. Grover Cleveland commented from Cape Cod expressing no further remarks at this time.
