Governor APODACA accused of acting as errand boy for Ortiz-Davis defense

A prosecution consultant Bernard Segal claimed Governor Apodaca acted as an errand boy for defense attorneys in the Ortiz and Davis cases. Apodaca denied the charge, saying the remark was convenient. The poll of 200 Bernalillo County residents supported Anaya’s prosecution plan under an $11,900 contract with Segal.

Resignation of Roswell Mayor Smith as party treasurer

Gov. Apodaca said Smith’s June 30 letter explains his resignation as Democratic state treasurer over Rudy Ortiz stepping down as national committeeman.
