11 Navy airmen parachute from stricken bomber
In a snow storm last night a PV-2 patrol bomber crashed between Holbrook and Winslow Arizona after 11 Navy airmen parachuted to safety. Deputy Sheriff C F Lee said all were located. one man had a broken leg and the others were unhurt. The plane was en route from Los Alamitos California to Hutchinson Kansas. The crash occurred about 10 miles north of Joseph City. There was no immediate indication of the cause.
