Tech names building for late Roswell regent at Tech

The New Mexico Tech board named the John M. Kelly Petroleum Building to house the New Mexico Petroleum Recovery Research Center. Kelly, a Roswell oil and mining consultant and Tech regent who died last fall, supported the $2 million program aimed at enhanced oil recovery to extend older fields. Regents also discussed a two-year mining technology program and elected Dave Rice as president and Owen Lopez as secretary-treasurer for one-year terms.
