A short, memory impaired man claiming amnesia was held on second degree kidnapping charges in Caliente Nevada. He is suspected in a murder in New Mexico and the disappearance of Kenneth Short, an electrical engineer from North Hollywood California. Pipeline Worker Dies In City Accident
Henry H. Salisberry a 34 year old Artesia man was killed instantly when a boom on a pipe laying tractor slipped and fell striking his head on a Roswell project. The coroner ruled death from being struck by the boom. Salisberry was pronounced dead at St Marys Hospital.
