A 58 year old Roswell woman was stabbed in the parking lot of Lovelace Regional Hospital on January 16 around 2 30 PM as she prepared to pick up her 83 year old mother being discharged. The assailant tried to grab her purse and lunged then fled after taking an item described as a pen or hypodermic needle. The victim sustained wounds to her left arm and blows to her face and shoulder and told police she fought back.
