Segura quadruplets moved to hospital for care

Four Segura babies born today were loaded in isolette carriers and taken by ambulance to Artesia General Hospital. Kenneth Bridge, director of patient services at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, supervised the transfer. Mrs. Bridge is the attending nurse. Three babies remain in Artesia General. the fourth will go home with Mr. and Mrs. Florencio Segura of Artesia.

Mountain lion kills boy near Arroyo Seco New Mexico

Kenneth Clark Nolan, 6, was killed while hiking with his stepsister near Arroyo Seco on a ridge two miles from home. The father shot the lion and a neighbor, James Meyer, killed it. The 40 to 50 pound cub was sent for rabies testing at the University of New Mexico lab.
