Washington Monument to get 7.5 million for repairs
Billionaire David Rubenstein pledges 7.5 million to speed Washington Monument repairs after the August 23 earthquake. The National Park Service and Trust for the National Mall say the project could take until August 2013 with design work and possible scaffolding.
